Lourdes recognizes the importance of serving its community and participating in activities that match the community’s needs. It believes that the medical staff is a valued partner. Since it holds these things to be important, Lourdes collaborates with other health entities and planning agencies to provide services, particularly in primary and secondary health care and cancer services to its community.
In addition, Lourdes is committed to the medical education of our future practitioners. Lourdes affiliates with Suny Upstate Medical and Lake Erie Consortium of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) to provide an optimal learning environment for medical students and residents.
Lourdes Podiatric residency has been preparing residents for careers in Podiatric Medicine and Podiatric Surgery for over 16 years. The program provides the necessary requirements for Board Qualification and Board Certification for American Board of Podiatric Medicine and American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Lourdes continues to branch out in the medical education field with its most recent residency approval of an Accredited Family Medicine Osteopathic Residency in July of 2014. The program will prepare residents for Board Certification upon completion of Residency.
Much has changed in the community and at Lourdes since the 25- bed hospital opened on Riverside Drive more than 80 years ago, but there remains one constant; the commitment of the Daughters of Charity and their Mission of caring.
We invite you to explore the opportunity of what Lourdes has to offer you as you embark on your search for a residency program.
