Tuesday, December 4, 2012

The J. Donald & Irma M. Ahearn Foundation will present a check for $250,000 to Lourdes Hospital at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in the Emergency Department Lobby as part of the Mission 2012 Campaign which recently modernized and expanded key parts of the hospital. The project included doubling the size and modernization of the Emergency Room, the addition of two new Operating Suites, a new main entrance and lobby, a new Ambulatory Care Center and an Open MRI, which was completed in May of 2012.

The Ahearn Foundation makes this gift in memory of Mary Beth Cahill. The new information desk and main waiting area in the Emergency Room will be dedicated in her memory.  In addition to this gift, the Ahearn Foundation has made a prior gift of $100,000 to this campaign, which makes their total commitment to the Mission 2012 Campaign, $350,000.

The Ahearn Foundation was founded by the late J. Donald Ahearn (father of Bob and Bill Ahearn) and his wife Irma in 1979.  The Ahearn Foundation is the legacy that J. Donald and Irma M. Ahearn have established for the community that they so loved.
