Appointments are required.
Evenings/Weekends:
An on-call physician may be reached. By calling the office
telephone number, you will be directed to the physician on
call.
In Case of Emergency:
Go to the nearest hospital emergency department if you
have chest pains, difficulty breathing, serious injury or bleeding,
severe pain, or are pregnant and experiencing contractions.
Convenient Location:
Located off the Vestal Parkway (Rt. 434) across from the Number 5
Restaurant. Plenty of parking with easy access to our office.
Our facility is a street-level building which provides easy access
to our patients in wheelchairs or with disabilities.
Our Staff
Our providers specialize in Internal Medicine and our practice
is accepting new patients. Same day sick calls are available
for established patients. We treat adolescent and adult
patients. Our physicians make rounds at Lourdes. If
hospitalization is required, you can be seen by your Primary Care
physician during your hospitalization at Lourdes. We also
offer access to a financial counselor on-site.
Lab & X-Ray Services
Laboratory services are available 7:30 AM
- 3:30 PM. No appointment is necessary with a physician
order.
X-ray services are available Monday through
Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Prescription Refills
Do not let your prescription run out. Call at least 48
hours prior to your last pill. Refills will be called into
the pharmacy Monday through Friday after 4:00 PM. Request for
refills after Noon will be called into the pharmacy the next
day. Written prescriptions for mail order pharmacies will be
left at the front desk within 24 hours of calling. Please
notify us at your office visit if prescriptions are due to be
refilled. You can also request a prescription
renewal online.
Appointments
Calls to schedule appointments should be made during office
hours listed above. Sick appointments fill up quickly, so we
recommend that you call early in the day.
Missed Appointments
Please call the office 24 hours in advance if you are unable to
keep an appointment. Missing appointments may result in a dismissal
from the practice. Providers have a daily preset schedule. Arriving
late for your appointment will delay other appointments and you may
be asked to reschedule. Walk-ins can result in long wait times
because scheduled appointments will be seen first.
Reminders
- Insurance cards must be presented at the time of visit.
- Co-payments are expected at the time of visit.
- All insurance companies require us to verify all identifying
information at the time you present for each visit to prevent
errors that might result in a rejection of payment by your
insurer.
- Information about financial
assistance is available by calling 607-798-5506 or
607-798-5229.
Insurance Referrals
Managed Care insurance plans require a referral from your
primary care provider for appointments with specialists, emergency
room visits, out-of-network physician visits, etc. It is your
responsibility to inform this office at least 48 hours in advance
for the authorization. Our office should be notified the next
working day of any emergency visits.

Uzma Anis, MD
Dr. Anis graduated from Rawalpindi Medical College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She did her Residency in Johnson City, NY. Dr. Anis specializes in Internal Medicine. In addition to English, Dr. Anis is fluent in Arabic and Urdu.

Joseph F. Brunt, RRT, RPA-C
Joseph Brunt attended Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, PA. He serves adolescent through geriatric patients with an emphasis on preventative medicine and patient education. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He lives in the Binghamton area with his wife and two sons.

Maria G. Galu, MD
Dr. Galu graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca, Romania and is board certified in Internal Medicine. She is fluent in French. Dr. Galu lives in the area with her husband and five children.
