Flood Wall Progress
Tuesday, November 17, 2009
Construction of the flood wall is moving along very quickly. You
may have noticed a big crane out by the cooling tower on Thursday,
November 12th as we set the concrete vault for the pump
stations.
The pump stations are used for general drainage and to pump out
rain water, as well as any other water that gets inside the flood
wall in the event of a flood.
Excavation has begun in the area parallel to the
DePaul and Ozanam entrances. There will be some work in
the road way in the upcoming couple of weeks that will impact
traffic flow. More information will be provided as the construction
progresses.
