Being given a diagnosis of cancer is scary and stressful. You
and your loved ones can feel overwhelmed and confused about the
wide array of testing, treatment options, and information that will
be given to you upon your diagnosis. Lourdes now offers a Nurse
Navigator Service for our cancer patients.
Lourdes' Nurse Navigator is Mary Mancini, RN, BSN, and she is
here to assist you and your family with "navigating" the healthcare
system. Mary will offer you reassurance, facilitate communication,
be available to answer any questions you may have, and be that one
point person that you can go to.
If you have financial concerns, home care needs, care
coordination needs or just a listening ear, Mary can help. Our goal
is to help reduce some of the "other stressors" that may accompany
a cancer diagnosis so that you can focus on your treatments,
healing and recovery.
