Surgeon
The surgeon is the doctor who will perform your weight loss
surgery. He is responsible for your surgical care before surgery,
during your hospital stay, and after your surgery.

- Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy
Bariatric Nurse Navigator
The Bariatric Nurse Navigator is in charge of the entire program
and works in an oversight capacity to keep the program successful.
The team coordinator is your point of contact for medical related
issues both preoperatively and postoperatively.
Physician Assistant
Physician assistants are licensed professionals who works
closely with the entire weight loss surgery team. Physician
assistants are employed by Lourdes and are equipped to address any
medial issues that arise. The surgeon and physician assistants work
together, reviewing all treatment plans and medication management
for each patient.
Nutritionist
Bariatric nutritionists work closely with the team and each
patient to help manage the diet and eating behaviors before and
after weight loss surgery. Each patient is required to meet with
our specially trained nutritionist before and after surgery.
Patients are encouraged to contact their nutritionists at anytime
with questions.
Psychiatrist/Psychologist/Social Worker
Patients are required to meet with a weight loss surgery
experienced psychiatrist, psychologist, or social worker prior to
their weight loss surgery. Along with the team, the
psychiatrist/psychologist/social worker carefully screens patients
to ensure appropriateness for weight loss surgery. Our program also
has professionals available after surgery to assist with any
patient needs.
Medicine and Subspecialties
Our team of specialists works closely with the weight loss
surgery team both before and after your surgery. These doctors will
perform any necessary preoperative medical assessments, as well as
partner with the surgeon in the management of your postoperative
care.
