Riverside Medical has nine physicians who are Board Certified in Internal Medicine as well as a Nurse practitioner and a Physician Assistant. We provide Adolescent & Adult health care. Our practice is accepting new patients. Same day sick calls are available for established patients.
Hours of Operation: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Appointments are required.
Evenings/Weekends: An on-call physician may be reached by calling the office telephone number. The answering service will assist you.
Convenient Location: Our office is located in the Lourdes Tower Building. This building provides elevators for easy access by our patients in wheelchairs or with disabilities.
In Case of Emergency: Go to the nearest hospital emergency department if you have chest pains, difficulty breathing, serious injury or bleeding, severe pain, or are pregnant and experiencing contractions.
Prescription Refills
All refills must be requested 24 hours in advance, Monday through Friday. Refills will be called into the pharmacy late in the afternoon. You can also request a prescription renewal online.
Office Telephones
Our telephones are very busy on Mondays. Please consider placing routine, non-urgent calls on other weekdays. Afternoons are generally less busy. Because of the volume of calls, it may be necessary to put you on hold. Please indicate when asked if you are unable to hold the line.
Reminders
- Insurance cards must be presented at the time of visit.
- Co-payments are expected at the time of visit.
- All insurance companies require us to verify all identifying information at the time you present for each visit to prevent errors that might result in a rejection of payment by your insurer.

Dr. Alt graduated from SUNY Upstate Health Science Center and is Board certified in Internal Medicine. He is also a member of the teaching faculty of SUNY Upstate Medical Center - Binghamton Clinical Campus.

Erica received her Nursing Degree from California State University. She received her Masters Degree in Nursing from Binghamton University. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She specializes in Family Practice and Women's Health.

Dr. Gawel graduated from Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and completed his residency at NY Hospital Medical Center of Queens in Flushing, NY. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
