Lourdes Vascular Lab is the area’s only nationally accredited vascular laboratory. Reviewed by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL), Lourdes Vascular Lab meets the highest standards in the field today. This means we offer a professional experience and are committed to providing you with a high level of patient care and quality testing.

Using sophisticated ultrasound technology, we offer non-invasive testing to evaluate blood flow. We assess carotid arteries for stroke risk and evaluate legs and arms for blood clots. We can also check the abdominal aorta for aneurysms which if left untreated can rupture and become life threatening. The testing is painless and is performed in a private setting in the hospital’s Cardiovascular Department.

Staff

Lourdes Vascular Lab staff consists of Registered Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technicians who have many years of experience performing vascular tests. They work closely with a group of Vascular Surgeons, all of whom are Fellows of the American College of Surgeons. These specially trained surgeons review the studies and provide an interpretation for your Primary Care Provider, generally within 24 hours.

To schedule a test, you will need to have a physician’s written order with a valid diagnosis code. This ensures that the correct study is ordered for your condition and that the test can be billed to your insurance.
