Lourdes Rehabilitation Department examines ways to improve quality of life by
making sure each patient reaches his or her maximum use of physical
abilities.
Physical Therapy
This program evaluates and treats people with health problems resulting
from injury or disease. A therapist will assess joint motion, muscle
strength and endurance, and lung function, then develop an individual
program of exercise, electrical stimulation, and heat/ice treatment.
Occupational
Therapy
Individuals, who have congenital, developmental, and acquired disorders
which involve the nervous, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular systems,
receive treatment that improves their ability to function on-the-job.

Speech Pathology
Speech pathology treats patients of all ages who have a diagnosis of
congenital, developmental, and acquired disorders involving the nervous
and musculoskeletal systems.
This includes:
- evaluations
- speech/language therapy
- video fluoroscopic swallow and speech studies
- swallow therapy
- voice therapy
- post/surgical head/neck cancer rehabilitation
- pediatric/early intervention
- foreign/regional accent reduction
