The fully accredited Lourdes Breast Care Center provides comprehensive care for all types of breast conditions.

The Lourdes Breast Care Center is located on the main floor of the DePaul Pavilion.  We offer a complete range of imaging services, including on-site digital mammography, ultrasonography, galactograms and evaluation by board-certified radiologists. Our on-site diagnostic procedures include fine-needle aspirations, stereotactic core and mammotome biopsies, needle localization, and excisional biopsies.

Our Lymphedema Program features an expert who provides individualized and group consultation, education, and referral for complete decongestive therapy.

Early detection of breast cancer ensures long-term survival and the use of less invasive surgery during treatment. Monthly self-examinations, annual clinical evaluations and yearly sequential mammograms form the basis of this effort.  Free clinical breast exams for women who are asymptomatic are available on Thursday afternoons at the Breast Care Center as well as no-cost or low-cost mammograms for income-eligible women. Our participation in the Healthy Living Partnership grant also means that all women screened through the program are eligible for complete coverage of all related diagnostic testing.

Where Do I Park?

Enter from Riverside Drive and proceed down the small hill, past the DePaul Pavilion, on your left. Park in the designated DePaul Pavilion parking area, located in Lot D. For your convenience, there is a circular patient drop-off/pick-up area in front of the building.

In the Community

Lourdes is also bringing women's health services out into the community. We offer screening mammography services at our Vestal Medical Center location at 1020 Vestal Parkway, Vestal.  In addition, Lourdes Mission in Motion program offers breast exams, mammography screenings, pap smears, pelvic exams and education throughout the region.  Women may use the mobile mammography unit for breast and cervical screenings if they:

  • Have no current breast problems or symptoms.
  • Have not had a breast biopsy within the last five years, and any prior biopsy was benign.
  • Have no history of breast surgery other than biopsy.  Have no history of breast reduction or implants.
